I'll be after winter taking anti freeze the zx6r and adding just distilled water . I'd like to give the rad and engine etc a nice flush through can anyone recommend a decent flush and is there anything not slippy and in regs or is distilled water fine ,

    Thank wedgie #22

I have used just standard Holt Rad Flush from Halfords. Let the engine run with this in the rad and let it get up to temperature. Should do the job nicely. As for water during the season, just use distilled water. Motul make something called Motocool which you can apparently use instead but i personally would stick to distilled water.

If you are going to put anything in Wedgie, go with Motocool. I was told about it by Tony who ran Moto Corse racing in Wrexham, who said it was the only thing approved by the ACU. I have put this in the bike over winter as it acts as an anti freeze/coolant, but apparently it doesn't cause issues if it leaks onto the track.

The acu rules for 2014 p300 14.21 state the only liquid engine coolant permitted other than lubricating oil is water. As this is an additive and so is water wetter u can't use them (sorry to b a miserable ba***rd)

Good no booze the plan for January lost 3lbs already I am pretty lucky I can drop weight very quickly and without exercise so only need to loose another 6lbs then keep it off. My problem is the beer I can have 6 bottles of bud 5-6 nights a week so stopping that should help a lot .

Then need to get out on my push bike and a bit of running easier said than done . :D

    Of topic sorry Wedgie.
