crankshaft noise and replacement

    Hi all, has anyone suffered from the crankshaft noise and had it replaced under warranty this is what my bike is currently undergoing and does anyone know how or wether the parts replaced are uprated or are a straight swap.My bike is a 2009 hrc many thanks.

    No !! What are the symptoms and mileage / what does it sound like ? I always wear ear plugs so I might need a run out without them !

    Hi the milage is 3500 and it make a whining noise at idle but when you load the clutch with the brakes the sound disapears. Its quite a distintive sound.

    Going onto some of the American forums there seems to be a lot more bikes with this kind of problem, as far as i am aware Honda America has extented the warranty issue for this problem
