Hello, I would like a set of crash mushrooms for my 08 blade but I don't want to drill the fairing to fit them, are there any out there that can be fitted without drilling 27 mm holes like what the R&G ones require.

Don't know of any, know you can get scuff panels but not going to hold out much in a spill, I put GB racing engine covers on mine, takes minutes to fit and look good too! Certainly save any engine damage during a crash!

    fit rearsets instead.

better crash protection and they give better bike control and comfort.

GBmoto engine covers work very well too.

not a fan of crash mushrooms. used them alot in the past but removed them from my R6 race bike. seem the odd snapped frame because of them.

These don't need the fairing to be cut, but you have got to wonder if they are not fitted on the engine mount (strengh point) arehttp://www.bikehps.com/acatalog/Crash_Protectors_for_Honda.html they going to do more damage when there mounting brackets bend??

Yeah I would say so. A replacement peg is only about a tenner too.

I've found Gilles flex to much so don't offer as much protection and I've marked my swingarm with them fitted and the flexed so much.

SES, promach etc seem to crash much better. Even diamond ones crash well and they're cheap as chips
