After last weeks episode with the police I was a bit put off road riding so thought best get back out there! OMG, awesome day.

Headed out from York at 10 this morning and took the twisties up to Hawes, weather was great and there was plenty there.

From here we took some more twisties to Devils Bridge (is this the place you and Jason meant Firebloke??? Because the search on google maps I did when you invited me for the ride out brought up somewhere in Wales???) Never been there before and it was packed but full of posers as you might expect..

From there we stopped at the Sun Inn for a cheeky one, (shandy for me).

Took some roads from here back to Masham, some I don't even think were on the map.

Stopped off at the White Bear Hotel, this is where they brew Black Sheep and Old Peculiar, couldn't resist this time. :D

Lovely place if you ever get the chance to stop by for a cheeky one or even for a night, gorgeous part of the world.

So after 200 miles, plenty of stops and being out on the bike for 9 hours, may faith in road riding is once again restored. My mate has just passed his test and is on an old CB1 400 and in his element. Reminds me of what I was like fresh out the test centre.

The blade was faultless as always and wheelie fun! How could I ever sell it..

Nice report Tyke. Love the idea of a night at the Old Peculiar brewery. Glad to see you're back in the zone too.

Cheers ken i think ive realised that track riding and road riding provide a different kind of buzz from each other. Saw some stunning sights today and theres no other way to so freely see them then on the back of a blade. Albeit only for a few seconds!! :D

That's where we go YT if its not too far we will have to meet up there maybe this year if you get to Hawes there are some great roads we can take you on , devils bridge we always stop for a brew and bacon butty it's the one in the picture and like you said always loads of bikes ,Steve knows all the roads round there.

What ever you do if you go to the chippy at Hawes don't have the curry sauce it is horrible .My tip of the day . :D

Nice write up. I like it round there, not been up this year, used to go to the sun (one near Harrogate) on a regular basis to their bike night (can't remember what night anymore). Beautiful roads round there.
