    Hi Guy's,

I'm needing to pick your brains, I'm halfway through installing my ex BSB engine into my 04 blade, it's been an on going project for now for around 2 years, but i've finally had the time off work recently to start putting the engine in.

The Oil cooler is now air cooled, because of this the cooling system seems to be customised as alot of the points are blanked off also, such as the points that would feed into the IAC thermal valve, from what i understand about it, when the system is warm enough it melts the wax inside which expands and forces a plunger than adjusts the valves.

Question is would it be ok to run the bike without this? I'm only going to be using the bike for track days and the odd run locally.

Any comments or help would be great.

    Cheers

    Doug

It could probably run without it but would be more efficient for cooling with it. The BSB team put it on it for a reason.

Think i've came over wrong, I wasn't going to remove the air oil cooler, but i was wanting to see if i could run the bike without the IAC Thermal valve, This is a standard part on the bike as it's my old throttle body's and fuel injection system i'll be using!

    Cheers Doug
