I went to meet a friend at JHS racingin Keynsham near Bristol today as he was having a tyre fitted and I enquired about custom mapping on my 04RR, it's got a PCV and full Acropovic Ti system. I had downloaded the base map from Dynojet and all seemed fine but when they said they'd just had a cancellation and could fit me in today I thought why not.

The difference now is like night and day! Almost like riding a new bike. he got me 6bhp at max revs more but the biggest difference is in the midrange 13bhp and 10 torques more between 6000 and 9000rpm, the power delivery feels very linear and the midrange punch now is amazing. You can see the fuelling was all over the place in that range before the map but now it's all good as it should be. A very healthy engine considering it's nearly at 20000 miles, a great result as there's more power and tq right through the rev range.

My bike sounds amazing at full chat on the dyno, I was wincing though as it was red lined many times and bounced off the limiter.

    I had a fun ride home ;-)

All figures are at the rear wheel.

I see no green arrow, and you should have given me a heads up as I know james at JHS and they are only 5 mins away from me. He also did my dyno run and does my servicing on the blade.

Ah thanks, didn't know about the green arrow. Remal, had no idea who lives where but I'm impressed so far with JHS so will be going back there if I need stuff done on the bike although I try to do most myself.
