Just a quick heads up as I was looking for rear sets for another thread on here, thought I would check Diamond Racing and found that they have reduced all their footrests to £150: Diamond racing rearsets They are superb footrests and have used them on my R6 all season. If you need a good quality and very reasonably priced set, I would certainly check them out.
Lad we know uses them on his race bike as do many others I believe. Was looking at a set for te blade and at that price, it's a no brainer. Cheers dude
When I went for these for the blade, they didn't have a bracket for the brake switch. They may have changed they're design though it's worth pointing out just in case they still don't cater for this.
Sadly not, this is how I found out about the offer as I was looking for them for you. Gutted. May just have to buy a spare set for myself though at that price!!
So are we any clearer on if they are a straight swap out on a current Blade, Brake switch an all??? If so I'm in! It's been a long time since Friday when I bought those Knox Handroids, the Cards feeling neglected I reckon!
Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade Valter Moto Type 2.5 Adjustable Rear Set | eBay 04-07 CBR 1000RR Vortex Adjustable Rear Sets Black | eBay Had a quick peak while searching something else..... just an idea.
I noticed that on SES's website for rearsets, they list the same rearsets for the 2004-2007 Fireblade & the 2003-2006 CBR600RR. Honda Might be worth sending Diamond an email to ask if their 600RR kit would fit the 2004-2007 Fireblade?
Ok so being stupid with this stuff.... If I order these rearsets I will also need the banjo thingy Wedgie posted a link to also? Think I'm gonna have to order a set at that price especially if they are highly recommended *Update - It's happened.... I have just ordered a set*
Ok spoke to them and they have included the hydraulic pressure switch which connects to the existing wires for 15quid so all getting posted later! Well excited!! Nice one Rob!!!!!
Ok so just thought about any fitment issues and the Yoshi came up.... It bolts to the back of the existing mount on the rearset for the standard exhaust so fingers crossed they have a similar design or my Yoshi will be swinging.... I would call them to check but I figured the comprehensive fitting instructions may cover this so don't wanna be too eager until I've checked it out! I've attached a very professionally marked drawing to show my concerns.....
So how easy are rearsets to fit, just a case of bolting on, do you have to dis connect the rear brake hose then re bleed the rear brake? Very tempted by these!
Mine arrived yesterday and they come with Fitting instructions, no bleeding necessary from what I can see but I'm sure others here can enlighten more on fitting. Trying to get my bro and dad to fit for me while I'm away
they are pretty straightforward to fit and no bleeding of brakes at all, as you disconnect the entire rear brake master cylinder and simply reattach it to the new rearset.
Ordered mine, thanks for the heads up. Mate has them on his track bike, really rates them. I did forget about the brake switch though!!
