damage repairables!!

    hi guys, been offered the chance to buy a cat d damage repairable from a mate. he,s not got the v5 so whats the process for returning to the road. do,s the bike need an inspection once i,ve repaired it and can i just apply for the v5 from dvla. always like a winter project so i,m tempted.

    If its anything like cars then only cat c needs a vic check, cat d needs just an mot and the v5 which you can apply for.

    What year, how much? Maybe we can give an idea on its worth?

    I had a Tuono a few years back that was cat D and like they say it only required a mot to be road legal again, even though the bike was only 2 years old it still needs the mot for insurance to say its in fit for the road state. There are some real bargains to be had out there and when it came to selling it i had no problems. Go for it if the price is right..
