Not really bike related, but I've just purged the saves from my dash cam after some idiot today decides to almost T-bone me on a roundabout. It's only the 2nd time in my driving career that I've ever felt the need to get out to have words, unfortunately there's no rear footage though. Enjoy... https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLQNKf5TI5NQocUI_Ci_UfEyQbPwoJfoeU
Thought the same. Yeah it was lucky you didn't get hit but to fly after the BM and drive like a bit of a dick to catch him seemed a bit pointless.
did right muffking, to many pricks driving around in a world of there own or checking shit out on there phones, fucks me off,
I had to disagree there I'm afraid. I didn't drive like a dick, but I did get out with the full intention of NOT dragging him out by his fucking turban. My intention was to to ask him what the fuck he thought he was doing, to which I got 3 different answers from him because he was fucking clueless!!! The simple case is that he fucked up and nearly took me out in the process. I had the absolute right to point out the error of his ways and I don't give a fuck if anyone thinks otherwise. We actually parted company with no argument nor serious dramas. I wasn't looking for a fight, I just wanted my say and he apologised, so I left it at that.
It’s depressing really, all the turmoil in today’s society. This is insignificant really. I just watched 24hrs in Police Custody, all about knife crime and senseless violence. If you get an hour watch it.
Standard of driving is laughable these days. Puts me off riding a bike on the road some of the stuff you see people doing.
If that driver didn't see you in your car what's the chances there going to see a bike? Maybe by your actions you've saved someones life in the future.
U2, mixed with some of my kids albums on a USB stick (promise). Edit: I should have just said 'Highway to Hell'.
Seriously bad idea to go chasing after some unknown - and get out the car - really really bad idea There are some seriously dangerous people out there that would have you for so much as looking at them - and you think the Police will help. A mate who I used to work with at a printing company in London, when I was younger - after I got a black eye one night over a game of pool in the pub - he said to me: "If you are going to do it, do it - otherwise shut up, or you will get hurt" - that is what he said to me. Advice from a hard man who knew what he was talking about. Go round doing stuff like that and you will get hurt.
So basically let people get away with driving like idiots and almost write me off then. Yeah right!!! It was just a road traffic incident FFS, not a bar brawl or some hoodie on a scooter! Jees, are we really that scared in society now that you can't even speak to someone you don't know for fear that the may be armed and dangerous!
Road rage can get out of hand really quick. At a petrol station, when this bloke opened his car door to get in his car - I just caught sight of this huge zombie knife that he had down the right hand side of his driver's seat - the point must have been three inches long. He was driving around with that. Another time my sister was walking past this guy parked in the street in London - and the guy was getting a gun out of his glove compartment of his parked car. He was wrapping in a cloth and my sister saw him - he gave a look like WTF are you looking at. People driving around with guns and knives - some even go round looking for someone to target. These guys drove around at night in stolen car with the lights on full beam - and anyone who flashed back, they turned round and chased. Defend yourself of course. But go round chasing after someone and get in their face - you could end up dead by the side of the road.
Have you just quoted that scene from 90's horror movie 'Urban Legend' ?? I'm not sure if this has really ever happened in reality but I see you point for sure, things can very quickly get out of hand where road rage is concerned and like you say......there's probably more people than we care to imagine carrying weapons in their cars!!!
There have been some startling news footage (from onlookers' cameras) of these incidents where drivers are tooled up with spanners etc, so yes, it is an unknown quantity and one that will see more road users injured.
