Has anyone removed one on a Blade?

I need to get a new battery as mine appears to have given me a P45, and whilst I don't think the alarm is the cause, it is a pain in the arse. It continually rearms itself when i am working on her in the garage, I've already had to bypass the sensor on the pillion seat as the alarm would go off when I was fitting my Kreiga with the seat off.

I don't need the alarm for insurance reasons and she lives in a locked garage, both at home and at the office; I don't really go anywhere when she is left on the street unless I'm still sat on her!

Alarms seem to be a hindrance these days...

When my Meta alarm broke, I contacted The Bike Alarm Man. Pete, will be able to tell you the best options. Post a question on his website, he will get back to you. Fixed mine with a few questions online and a couple of phone calls. Was easier to fix mine than rip it out, hope this is some help.

    Thanks Alan. Problem is I don't think it's faulty, just a pain! I'll have a look though :- )

hi I removed one off an 04 blade and couldn't believe how quick and easy it was , all I did was remove fairing and trace the wires into loom and remove 3-4 wires and that's it , then solder the original wires back in , it took longer removing the plastics , a garage quoted me £130 to do it.
