It doesn't look anything like a Moto 2 bike, it's just looks like the Daytona 675 with a side mounted exhaust!! o_O

I don’t think in this instance it’s the same Dorna are behind it it’s a one off I believe it, Honda stuck to there word with the sp2 we have to hope Dorna/Triumph stock to there’s, in a few month so be it a new Daytona comes out it won’t be what I have got there’s only 265 in the uk

This early shot of the moto 2 Triumph shown promise and actually resembles a Moto 2 bike...... What we're now looking at is the old 675 with a new engine! Not sure what all the fuss is about myselfo_O

Nissin calipers and not Brembo even though the RS' run with Brembos? Also can't see any ABS rings and ABS I believe is mandatory now. Hard to tell from a phone but also doesn't look like an Ohlin adjuster on the rear which the RS range use.

Triumph cashing in on moto 2 affiliation, can’t see it being much more than a big bore 675 with the same clothes and “R/RS” spec

But the artist's impressions show it with brembos and Ohlins.

The one that you say will be the released bike, does not have these. So it's looking more like the artist's impression is the correct one?

I think you must really want one to order any bike ,, I really like the new r1m but online order only opened yesterday no way I would put a order in on a 22k bike without having a test ride...made that mistake once before and hated what I had bought ..,if the 765 is such a hit surely they will just mass produce it at some point...has anyone seen any images of the new Honda next year ?

I’ve put down a deposit on one of these as the old Daytona 675r was almost as fun as my 2017 blade to ride and from what I recall, felt smoother on the power low down in the Rev range. Will wait and see how much Triumph want for it. If it approaches anywhere near £20k then I’ll be getting my deposit back and be looking at the Norton Superlight instead. I’d also be tempted by a new CBR600RR, especially if it has different ABS from the 2014 model I had.

Lol, so £2k for Dorna - at least it sounds a little more exotic than Sky or ITV I guess.. I’d love to say that I’d buy it for an investment - not ride it, just keep it garaged and then sell.. but like those toys that are worth loads if they’re still boxed and not played with years later, I’m not to sort of person that can buy something and then just look at it..

I really don't think it's that kind of bike, it isn't going to hold or appreciate its value. I expect anyone that buys one of these will trade it in after a couple of years (at a loss like any other bike), I'll reiterate what I've already said..... Twice, its a 675...... Same frame an everything, just a bigger and better engine! It is NOT a future classic and anyone thinking they can store it and make a few quid in 20 years will be very disappointed!!
