Heya guys Lookin at getting a digital gear indicator for my RR8. Any recommendations, regarding fitting, quality, does the fairing need to come off, etc?? Don't fance shellin out £100 if the £50 Datatool ones are as good
GI PRO mate been a few group buys and come highly recommended but I have yet to fit mine Have a search for the threads some hand info on them,
I use the acumen DG8, very easy to install and dims at night. Digital Gear Indicators - Acumen's DG8 User guide http://www.acumen-electronics.co.uk/pub/files/User Guides etc - PDF_s/1197905466_Acumen DG8 .pdf
Had Both GI pro and acumen DG8 in the past and for me the GI pro is the better of the two. Easy to fit and fast update on gear change. Dont quote me on this but the GI pro is plug fit and i think Acumen needs to be wired in on the 08+ 1000rr
Acumen don't do a harness for the 08+ blade so would need to cut n splice into the harness the GI pro is easy to fit better looking and easy to set up even though it's a bit more it would get my vote Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Well if you dont fancy a awkward soldering job on the blades from 08+ accumen never seem to have the pre wired interface thats why i went for a GI pro.......just a straight plug in installed and set up in 30 mins max !
hey guys. You've given me some brill info here, just what i was lookin for. Thank you!!!! Anyone know the best place to get the GI pro from? cant seem to find one on eBay for my year
mmmm, me likes this!! Dave you cant have one, you already got one (joking, when do i ever say no), however, i dont have anything like this on my bike and, well do i really need one, i just have a girlie memory and remember which gear i'm in lol xxx
ahhh well in that case arthur hun....... maybe i should have one after all, if dave has another brain wave and thinks about changing his bike (if he does it will be a short sharp size 5 up the backside) it would only need putting in mine rather than his then mine!! saves on manhours labour which could be used for riding lol xx xx
