Disc Lock

    Hi Guys,

    Been a while since i have been here..

    I needed a disc lock for my Repsol..

    so many different ones...which is the best one to get? if it worth looking for a alarmed one?

    I've had a Xena disk lock for years now. It is a solid thing but the alarm bit is basically shit and I have removed it.

    Not sure of the model I have but these seem to be the modern equivalent.

    Make sure you place any disk lock just before the caliper for when you next move the bike, i.e. so it barely moves before it touches the caliper. Disk lock vs caliper does not normally end well with either the caliper breaking or you falling off when the frint suddenly stops.

    I use Oxford Quartz. Heavy and robust with alarm.

    You can't really be sure how good they are until someone tries to steal your bike. However, merely having one on could be deterrent enough.
