I got a 2013 repsol and had it tweeted ready for this year, and got a nice set of Dunlop sportmax 2 on it now,

My debating thing is do I do track days with my genuine fairings on or do I buy a abs set for round £300 and run them for the track days? so I don't damage the expensive body work if the unfortunate happens?

That a stupid idea and being a twat, lol ?

Yes you certainly need track fairings if you are doing quite a few days

Track fairings probably best mate as my silly slide cost me 2k in repairs for original fairings and other bits. Not sure what you're like with fitting them but I know I wouldn't wanna be swapping them over for each track day personally. I'd find a nice set I could leave on and tuck my originals away. But you will probably see me at multiple track days this year with standard fairings fitted going as fast as I can as per usual :D

buy some ching chong wong ABS fairings from auctmarts and bang them on and bubble wrap the originals and put them somewhere safe. that way if you crash you won't be that pee'd off and you'll still have the lovely shiney set still packed away. you also won't have to change fairings for every trackday

I have had mine on for two years and never regretted it.Came off at Brands with light scrape marks on last TD and have dropped it a couple of times in between TDs.The good news is the originals are mint and tucked up when I can't repair these Auctmarts.Get some R&G crash bungs they have saved me from any bad damage.

I just bought a cheap white fibreglass one of eBay, stuck a few stickers on, less than £100 :)
