Good morning Bladers, Not sure if we have any mums on here, but if we do happy Mot her(s) day to you . The hardest most thankless job in the world but also the most important.
Yea we do have a few mums on here and happy mothers day to you While we are on the subject. Who buys these nannys day cards, aunt days cards, grate grandma day cards etc.... I was thinking WTF when I was helping my kids to get their mothers day card last week
I love my mother to death but she is hard work. I have to admit I took the easy route and ordered flowers from Interflora, £50 for a bunch of weeds was a rip off but needs must. Sat here today feeling guilty as hell, plucking up the courage to call her knowing I am going to get that disappointed voice of hers that will be saying but without the actual words being used 'So David you couldn’t be bothered to come and see me' God I hate mothers day.
I'm a mum, thanks for the nice thoughts guys. Its not what I recieve its just a card and a phone call that says it all to me.
I nearly got away with it this year. After falling out big time with my mother at last years hallmark sponsored pseudo celebration I put my foot down and said no more, let one of the others put up with them both trying to outdo each other for complaining how hard done by they are. However, I've been outdone by mine own wench, who agreed to have lunch today at her sister's and I then found out the MIL will also be in attendance. A 50% success rate then. I'll have it sorted by next year.
My mate just texted me by accident wishing me a happy Mother's Day. Fortunately, his mum stayed over last night so I could pass the message on for him.
Got mum some flowers, I'm cooking lunch and neither her over. For how mum is she comes away with us on holiday as she's my wife's friend and we all get on so well. In laws make up for the rest
