I ask as this is brought up on most forums and I would like to explain to all new and old members what this forum is about Rob started this place almost 3 years ago. I was the 2nd member ( not the first time I've been called this) and have seen it grow into a great community for all things blade related but also anything bike. car or anything else. people have found local blade and non blade owners and have got on well. as you can see from the recent posts. I hope everyone on here is open minded, light hearted and welcoming to anyone of any race, colour, creed and sexual preference. And always helpful when needed. So any new members who may think we are a little close can see via the newbie board member map we have members from all over the place Please say hi, we don't bite and you may find you have a lot of people close to you on here. Just a Monday sermon My aim for 2014. to meet more people on the forum. be it on track, local meets or events. So come say Hi
It may seem like that a little but being involved with The Scotland tour with all the guys from as far as Kent ..Eastbourne .. Lincoln and of course scotland we found a great mix and all got on a treat ..We have had some good runs to meet the guys and laydee's from Yorkshireville and Barney and Angie on the Wales runs .Take the N/west meet at the Greyhound track a couple of weeks ago Andy put up the thread maybe 1 month in advance .The usual suspects attended inc wife's and Partners Jetblade made an appearance and we all had a good doo. This is a great non clicky place to be and although the focus is FIREBLADES it has developed into a one stop shop for Bike info ,meets, funnies ect ect .We do have once or twice a few big heads who enter with nothing to say except a load of foul language but these are well moderated and disappear just as fast. So if you are on the outside looking in ,say hello and if a meet or run comes up turn up that's what we did .
I've been on a few forums and this is by far most un cliquy forum I've been on. I wasn't around much this year but I can't imagine it's changed much from 2012 except it's grown.
As an indecisive schizophrenic I am in four minds as to whether or not I may or may not like or dislike you all
This is the first forum I have joined, but since buying my Ducati I have as since joined the sister forum, which, I have to say is very cliquy and opinionated, as a consequence I don't bother to frequent it very often. We had a moment some months ago when a few new members seemed intent on dragging the forum into the gutter, but they left just as quickly as they arrived and the balance was restored. Over all I think it is a great forum and personally get as much out of it as I put in, I have also meet a few great people that have now become firm friends.
Yep have to agree with the first couple of posts, ive been on a few forums esp mcn n the like and its just full of people who have nowt good to say about anyhting or anyone, slag off people who may not be experienced in bikes as much as them and generally create a terrible atmosphere on the forums. So it was with trepidation i joined this forum after buying me first blade and i gorra admit, it has been bloody good fun, alot of very knowledgable people who give up their own time to help others be it with " how to do " posts, testing kit out n giving honest reviews n opinions or just giving their honest opinion on all things bike. Not been on a rideout or meet yet, mainly due to time of yr, crap weather, work and moving home but am sure come spring summer ill be at the back ( but infront of the repsol girls ) of a long line of bikes having a fab time
That's because my good friend people who own Ducati's are up their own arse. Ops, we have one in the garage- Take it back David Agree, I've been on other forums and they either not as active or are nowhere near as friendly as this place- Met a few great Pals as well, the Scotland tour was great fun.
As a relative newbie, I've found everyone here to be friendly and helpful - more so than on other forums I've visited. Sure there will be some groups of people here that know each other very well and will share the odd in-joke, but I think that's to be expected when you're a newbie like me. The vast majority of the posts on here are equally applicable to both veterans and newcomers alike. So from my perspective, I don't see a problem at all. No doubt if I get out on any of the forum meet-ups next year you'll all wish you knew me a lot less
Oi! What are you saying? I've got 3 of the buggers as well as my blade! How rude! Obviously people are opinionated and Clicky
Well you must have a huge arse to fit all your heads up then Ha, Like I said joking as we have one too
Everybody gangs up on everybody else, if you're not in with the 'click' you may aswell go take a cyanide pill. That's how I feel anyway.. cast out on the perimeter of this social circle.
