Does a 2012 standard exhaust work on an 08?

    I noticed the 12 exhaust has that fluted panel on it and it looks much better! Will it fit?

    You can fit a 12 end can with fluted panel to an 08 (I did to my old RR8). You can't just fit the fluted panel to an 08 as there aren''t the mounting welded onto the 08 exhaust.

    Is the black fluted bit on the 2010-2012 bike any more hard wearing than the 08-10 bikes? The black on my 09 bike (unfluted) is starting to fade and look a bit tatty now. Doesn't seem to clean up very well with anything I've used...

    Thats why I was wondering. As much as I love the Arrow I reckon I may get a pull and a rectification notice at some point! :D

    I can't say tbh as most 10> bikes are still relatively new and low mileage so not a fair comparison... I took mine off at 5000 miles and it was like new ... Shame about the shitty steel exhaust behind it mind.

    I took it out today and fitted the baffle and along with a set of plugs it really was a pleasant ride!

    I've had a nearly new exhaust (the fluted one )to replace my rusty 09 for a while now(nearly 2 years!). Just haven't got round to fitting it yet

    One thing to note though is I think the servo cable is a different length for the abs/ non abs versions, obviously not a problem if you going to disconnect anyway.

    I just need to weld in a bung for my Autotune and job done.
