    NO

I recently asked whether a small standard huger fits my ABS. lots of you guys said that you have one fitted with no problems so I bought one and gave it a try?

It has been fine for a couple of weeks but today I took the wife out for a spin. 15 miles in and I could smell rubber, the huger was pushed down by the ABS casing onto the tyre and rubbed it away.

The answer to the question is therefore NO if you want to carry a pillion:eek:

Hi Simon, I could smell burnt rubber when I stopped at lights, the tyre looks ok but it can't have done any good?

Did you stiffen up the rear spring and adjust the tyre pressure for taking pillion or just get the wife on th back ?

Think I'd throw away the lids if I was taking that home too.

I fitted a carbon small hugger to my 2011 Repsol blade with ABS! Was ok until the ride got a bit quick and cornering at speed! The carbon shattered!!!
The ABS bikes have a lower undertray to hold the ABS unit. This undertray has a cut out for the shock so when you carry a pillion or put the suspension to work it has enough room for the shock. Once you fit a hugger the clearance is gone and the hugger gets squashed and pushed onto the rear tyre!!
    So be careful !!!!
