Ok riding into work today the bike was lumpy like it was misfiring and then cut out and the dash went blank but bumped back into life then did it another 3 times each time bumping back onto life. So my question is has anyone else had this problem and was it the reg/rec at fault.

My 05 done something simular about 2months ago then cut out all togeather and wouldn't do anything, in the end it was a collection of wires with couple of fuses/relays coming from the positive on the battery. The connectors had gone a bit furry.
Sorry for the crap description lol

I know what your saying it is a pain! But that is the only trouble I have ever had with mine in over 3 years of ownership and mines done 15k which if I remember right is 3x what yours has done lol.
Once sorted you will get plenty of miles trust me :D

The 04/5's had the Rec/Alternator failures, the 06/7 had modified parts.

Well checked the bike over and it seems the reg/rec is fine and charging ok, looks like one of the battery connections was loose but will find out on the way home :)
