Well what an awesome experience my very first track today was, great fun I want to do another Was nice to have the rain stay away until until the last session, Was very pleasing as it had been forecast to come earlier, I almost cancelled due to damm weather forecast too glad I didn't There was some fast blades there, not sure if they are members here?
How did you find the track? I've not been there yet but hope to this summer! Ps glad the rain kept away for most of the day
Have you been viciously cornered and attacked by the monstrous track day bug? It's made a 3 course dinner out of me....
Disgusting how you've done a track day then gone out and got all the gear before I have!!!! Not at all jealous..... nope.......
Haha all the gear and no idea mate! I'm sure you will show me up on track anyhow.. that's where scores are settled..
We can all learn from each other while having an awesome time, so I'm more for sharing tactics! So if you are doing anything better or quicker than me on track then please do share the knowledge so we all have the best possible time on track sharing our passion for bikes
Loved the track, nice and wide with some great flowing and fast sections and some tight hairpin too, all good fun Would recommend it, but then it's my only track day, so can't comment how it compares
That's where it starts mate! Well I've only done Snetterton on a bike and that was also an awesome track with 2 fast straights and equal fast and slow left and right corners giving you an all round experience. Would highly recommend that track for you to give a try mate! Hopefully we can experience a few more this summer and I definitely hope to meet some forum members at tracks this yeah
Ok here are a few pictures, not brilliant but at least better than nothing lol 1. starting to tip it into the Melbourn hairpin 2. in garage at 8am 3. Sunny in the morning 4. exiting the esses on way down to melbourn hairpin
Looks like you had a great experience Simon, and the weather held. Great pics! Now get the bike road legal again but with the 7x5 Did Paul enjoy the day?
Well might keep the baffle out at least yeah we both had a great day, just missed the last 20 min session because it rained, but had 2 hours on a dry track which was great given the forecast a few days before You should come next Carl, its great fun
Downloaded a high res picture from the track photographer, not sure if this site saves them at full high res, but the detail is far better than i have got from any other pic, just shows that these guys know their jobs lol
And couple of screen grabs form a video I found of me, just be change there was someone behind with a cam on board just before the rain came
