OK I've picked up a brand new Genuine dark tint visor for my HJC for a steal.

The only problem is, it doesn't have the Pinlock inserts already fitted :(

Quick question, has anyone else fitted/drilled their brand new visor to fit the Pinlock system, and if so any instructions/how to & what not to do?

As you can imagine I'm not looking forward to the thought of drilling my brand new visor :( :(

I guess if you attack it the same way you would, say drilling a tile, mask up mark it check check check again and drill, if you don't feel confident?
Have a chat with these guys, they will drill it for £15

Have a read here, the link is enclosed for the visor shop

I drilled my girlfriends visor to fit the pin lock.
First off I put the insert on the visor and made sure that it didn't get trapped or in the way when opening and closing the visor.
I then marked up 1 side with a non permanent marker removed the insert and drilled that end, put the pin in that side, and re-fitted the insert again. Marked up the other side and drilled that end. Job done :)

Just a warning you need to be very acurate in working out where the holes should be drilled. I tried fitting a pinlock to a cheap Shark helmet - took ages measuring and still ended up with it a little too lose. I'd pay the money and let the shop take the risk.

Yep, ive done 2. Tape across the visor. Measure and mark the holes. Use a smaller drill bit first. Hope the pins rotate to help with taking up the slack.
