I MOT'd this stunning Ducati 1098 today. Unfortunately its not the limited edition version, but a very good replica tho! My blade still wins
its not a problem as no one with a ducati takes them out at night...the trouble being you cant see where the nuts and bolts drop off at night!...youd never find them
Mibbe shouldn't say this but when a mate of mine is following me on his Baylis it's like the sun has come up! There so much brighter than the blade. Cracking bike to look at but def an acquired taste to ride. Not for me...
They are very nice to look out and they sound AMAZING! (minus the clutch noise!) - but I would be worried about it breaking down lol
They are brilliant when on song, no traffic and everything is working just right.... They are a pain when they won't start ! When your stuck in traffic, when you not going full pace etc etc I would have another if it was a second bike but for what I need the bike to do it didn't work for me, the blade may be 'boring' but I'm happy with reliable, easy to ride etc Was a great bike to just and stare at absolutely gorgeous !
It's that ideal garage scenario again. If I was retired, dripping with dosh and lived just off route Napoleon, I'd have the 1199, on a pedestal with mood lighting playing on it and maybe a dry ice machine underneath it, just for that moment when I was feeling Italian. How could I not. If you've owned one, despite everything you're drawn back, regardless. But if I needed to nip down the shops, I'd swing my leg over my Blade... Speed triple/R1/Rsv/Diavel/SP2.... Or take the Veyron/Aventadour/GTR/205 T-16/Miura/Interceptor/DBS...
A mate of mine got rid of his gsxr 1000 k6 and got one , he missed every and it really was every ride out we had that year , it would not start kept going back to dealer and he waited weeks each time for parts and then something else would go wrong, it had a full dealer service history and had done 3 k . He still has it but never brings it out with us as is afraid of the piss taking when it fails to start or grinds to a halt again . He brings out his 01 r1 which was his track bike all the time now. Having said all this though i would still like one . my brain says build a bespoke loom and she will be right or just track her and enjoy .
I have to say they are beautiful bikes to look at, I cant comment on how they ride though, my brother had a 1098 and never offered and David hasn't even let me sit on his pride and joy. No pressure next time we meet up David, I would let anyone sit on mine either, if I had one. My son sat on my blade and dropped it
Ducati 1098s and 2013 Fireblade Not the best photo, but I have almost the same garage..... Ducati 1098s and a 2013 Fireblade
Cool, very nice garage there sir. BUT, I don't think I could sleep at night with all that stuff hung off the walls just above my pride and joys. You must have a lot of faith in your rawl plugs lol!
