only 2000 miles so far! lol

2000 miles out of a tyre like this on a litre bike is pretty damn good!

im going to give these a try next i reckon. only heard good things about them.

i will probably use 1 more rear pirelli when is finished as the front wont need changing but when im due a pair i will fit the dunlops.

I cannot believe that some only get 1400mls out of a back tyre what are you doing with them, my last bike i had was a Yamaha R1 55 plate fitted with 2ct.... rear tyre had 7000mls on it when i finished with it and 12000 mls out the front .....and i dont think that i am the slowest rider out there

That's mental. Most I have had out of a rear is 2000 miles on a 600'and it was buggered! Get about 4000 out of a front.

My blades rear has done around 1400 miles or something and it won't be long before I change it.

I have just fitted a super sticky Dunlop GP racer to the Blade and was hoping to get 2000 miles out of it as used to get about 3000-3500 out of the same tyre on a 600 including 4 or 5 trackdays in inters so was expecting at least 3500-4000 out of the much hard road biased sportsmarts to be honest.

well this week i have been on 3 good rides and racked up about 600 miles and the back tyre is buggered.

the tyre has done about 1800 miles i think and its pretty shagged.

i went to helmsley (yorkshire tt) on wed and noticed the rear tyre really starting to tear up about mid way round the profile. there are alot of bends which are shell gripped so guess its shredding the tyre on the exit when im gassing it up.

again went to alston today and when i got back it was even worse. i ran these years ago when i rode on road and found they lasted well but once they started to let go the shredded up and deteriorated really quickly

going to get a new rear tomorrow.

once this rear is run off im going for sportsmarts for a change

7000 ? must of been on the wire lol. the most i have had is 3000 from a 2ct and that was proper bald in the middle and was so flat that the bike could nearly stand up on its own lol.

Iv got the sportsmarts fitted . Im not sure if its thats the qualifiers had squared off loads but on a pair of new sportsmarts the bike turns extremely fast, I nearly led it down first bend i came to lol. I took it easy for a bit to scrub them in but it wasnt long till i was at full lean and they felt really grippy,Chicken strips gone and knee down first time out. i can remember the qualifiers feeling sketchy throu bends and i had a few slides braking hard into corners. With the qualifiers i would dip the clutch to wheelie and the back would spin, With the sportsmarts she is straight up no more sliding into corners so very happy so far.
Aint been out in the wet yet but ill update when i have
