I taxed the car online the other day and today tried to SORN it as I haven't worked for 2 months and the insurance was due next month and I will just use the missus car. Trouble is that the DVLA website wouldn't let me SORN it and so I rang the DVLA. They then told me that the system locks you out for 5 days after a successful change! Pity they don't seem to make that clear anywhere so I thought I would give you all a heads up.
