May have an offer of a contract in Edinburgh. The role sounds good but the rate may not be enough to cover the added expense. Does anyone know of any cheap, as in less than £40 a night, places to stay that are clean, safe and Sassanach friendly. Contract is 6 months so I could pay for a month at a time.
I'd be renting a house out on a 6 month lease mate if I were you. There are plenty of nice small town nearby that you can easily rent for that sort of price.
I would check out the likes of Dunfermline,South Queensferry, Inverkeithing,Rosyth it's cheaper but you'll have to travel a few miles to work and back but Edinburgh can be expensive mate! But a plentiful supply of B&B's around here
Cheers folks, do love the info you can get from this site Renting would be the best option but although the contract is 6 months there would be a 7/14 day notice period and so I wouldn't want to get stuck with having to pay rent for somewhere I don't stay in. Will have a look at the other areas but would really want to stay close to the office, not sure where that is yet, as I would be travelling up by train and so won't have a car/bike with me.
