Anyone fitted one of these to their bikes before ?
I only ask because going to the TT again this year, and finding a socket to charge my phone is a bit of a pain.
It also seems that charging phones over there takes 4 times as long as it does here.

So, anyone ever fitted one ?
Any recommendations as to the best kind ?
How easy are they to fit ?
    Is it 12 volt ?

    Totally clueless in this regard.

    Many thanks in advance.

U can get USB 12v sockets, ideal as most things have USB cables with them these days

    Cheers guys.
Although the thought of linking that to the battery and power switch is a little daunting to me.
But as they say up here in Scotchland, that looks "the very dab".

The one on the site that Chinny put up is cheaper than that one mate, but thanks for the link.
Also might just be a better option to go for the one Steve suggests, as it could charge a multitude of things then rather than just a USB.
But I will think it over.
Electrics and mechanics are not my strong point though.

I charged a laptop and phone off the bike in Portugal last year, no problems at all. It was just a cheap cigarette type socket off ebay and it lived in the boot/tail.

Ok so I got one of those Bike-It double USB sockets for under my seat.
    One question and one problem.
The quick connector isn't long enough to go from the battery to under the rear seat for easy connection. Are there extensions for these things ?
And when it is connected it glows blue on the USB port. I am worried that if it stays connected that it will drain my battery.
    Will it ?

Cheers and apologies if I sound a bit stupid.

You're all best going for the Optimate USB Charger lead.

Yes it's more dollars at £23.50 from Tweeks's but it's quality kit, comes with adapters, it reaches fore and aft (shipmates! :p) and has a built in cut off if power drops below 12.7 volts or whatever it is so you'll always have enough juice to start her up.

The 'Cigarette lighter' unit Niko is soo last decade and very large and cumbersome compared to a USB lead of which everything nowadays has that connection.
It also looks cheap shyte and wouldn't take much for those connections to short out and burn ya Blade to the ground.
Doubt your insurance company would pay out if you've fitted a £3 electrical device with ZERO safety features to ya 10K Bike either?

O-102 SAE USB Charger Lead (Ignore the price, tis far cheaper through Andy O at DT)
