ELI5 Why do Honda put a metal bracket over the rear brake reservoir so the lid will not come off?

    There is also a bracket on the front master cyl to stop the lid unscrewing

    But that one has a nice little screw to remove it.
    This one is part of a bracket holding other stuff and I still haven't found a bolt that's accessible...

    It doesn't matter now.
    The whirling disks of Dremel have eliminated it.
