Elvington tomorrow

Anyone going? World wheelie record thingamybob for those that dont know. Might even enter myself. working til about 11, but will be there for lunch (launch) time.

Ha ha yeah and the rest the bike 1 mile behind him the luck this poor sod as lol

 

I can't believe they still have the world wheelie record, surely there are guys out there who can wheelie until they fall pass out from exhaustion.

 

Is the record for the longest or the fastest wheelies?

 

Fastest wheelie. Not sure how long it has to be kept up, 1/4 or 1/8 mile. I think the current record is @ 162mph. Probably on a turbo

Yes.....

 

Went yesterday, going again today via 'sherbert in my helmet' for some brekky. Was having a natter with some stunt riding dudes. Proper scruffs, greasy jeans, t shirts and arms n legs covered in ink. They actually look like a bunch of thieving scrotes off the local council estate, but they each have more talent in their little finger than I can ever hope to have.

 

Is that record on a standard k5 or does it have a turbo fitted

 

Petty much standard apart from an exhaust I belive.
Upset a few of the turbo and heavy modding boys at the time.

Terry was a very tallented and very funny guy, sadly he died in a bike accident in Germany. Very sad, he left 2 kids.
I think his record still stands, but not sure, I dont follow it anymore. The guy that organises the Elvington comp is a decent guy, and all of those stunt guys are seriously tallented.
