Hi all just wondering if anyone could spread a bit of light on my engine management light flashing, I've worked out that the fault code is 23 which is O2 sensor heat element which corresponds with the light only coming on after the bikes warm . Thing is I'm off round Europe on it next week and need to know if anyone else has suffered with a similar problem . Cheers in advance Mark.

Heard if this on another forum.its a heat element that gets the
Lambda sensor up to temp for more accurate readings when first
Starred. As far as I remember you have to take it to the dealers for
    A new ecu :(

lambdas have a heater element built into them as phantom says to help them warm up as they work better when hot.
this normally means you just have to replace the sensor as the circuit has failed inside.
not sure if you will need any diagnostic equipment to reset the fault after the new sensor is fitted.
at least you know the sensor can still work and fuel the bike properly as its only the heater circuit thats flagged up a fault.

yeah the last time I heard this the guy got a new sensor
but the fault was still there and it was the signal from the
ecu to activate the heat element that was at fault so thats
why its probably best to get the dealer to check it, also better
if its still under warranty if you dont start changing parts.
