Engine noise - Better oils?

    Hi I am really paranoid about a few little rattles on my RR8 and it doesn't help reading some of the posts lol!!!!

    She's done just under 10,000 miles

    Basically are there some oils that help reduce engine noise?

    Sorry if this is a daft question bit this is my first blade and she is just superb and hoping I can keep her that way!

    Have you check cam chain tensioner for rattle?

    Yeh that's first on my list of jobs

    Will drop it into my local dealer for a once over in the next couple of weeks

    I noticed a difference going from Putoline to Fuchs / Silkolene. Quiter engine and a smoother gearbox.

    Put a screwdriver or block of wood up against it and listen - you'll hear it rattling away if it's on the way out
