Sorry guys me and my newbie questions must be driving everyone mad lol. I've done the pair removal, exhaust everything's tied up. Is this tapping noise normal? It seemed to be louder than that so I fit a new cct but it's still there although it does seem quieter on idle but then the other video is revving as you can kind of hear the noise raises and falls with engine speed. Videos are attached as I could not upload on here for some reason.

It was doing this before I added the exhaust and pcv. It's like a grinding noise but the engine is doing some weird purring too. I have given up and bit the bullet. It's booked into a Honda garage to sort out now. Hopefully they can sort it out

Have you blanked off the tube that goes to the engine when removing the pair system?

Yeah that's all fine. Blanked tube off, put blank plates on, blanked off the redundant hole on the air box. It might just be the map I downloaded it dodgy. But the issue I have is the tapping from the engine I replaced the cct but it still does it so it need to go to the garage.

The cct is cam chain tensioner and pair is I don't know sucks air Round the engine but I removed it for the map, it's a common mod for air intake

Ah ok, i didn't know that. thanks mate.

I think you should be ok after a map unless it is an issue with your CCT? mine sound exactly the same, had it mapped and its perfect.

I don't know man. I have given up it goes to Honda next weekend they can deal with it lol. It never purred like it is until I removed the pair. But the engine rattling noise has been there for a while, I was hoping it was the cct as they go quite often on the blades. But it still does it so I will see what Honda say when they slap me with a huge bill.

Colin how many things are there to plug?
I have removed all the tubes and air ducts apart from the one that goes into the engine bay, that one I have plugged up. And then I removed all the pair. Blanked that off and then plugged the lower right hand side nipple where the tube went to the pair system. I also fitted a pipercross air filter. And have a generic map from dynojet for a yoshi slip on with stock/aftermarket filter. It's only started purring like that since I removed the pair system though, and it only done it once it was warm.

To be honest mate it was about 4 years ago that I did the removal on my bike. So not fresh in my mind at the moment.

Is the noise not there at all when the bike is cold?

Sounds to me like a bag of nails has been let loose in the engine but Honda just said it's all good. (Not the place I brought it from trying to get out of anything) it needs a map but I knew that. So all good the cct replacement worked.
