My 04 Blade has developed a bit of a rattle, it only does it when it's cold, and quietens/disappears when it's taken out of neutral or when the clutch has released.

As soon as it gets to around 60 degrees it just seems to go.

I have no idea whats causing it, any ideas anyone?

generally engine rattle at start up is because of the time the oil is taking to get around the engine & special overhead valves.
I assume you mean at engine temps above 60, the rattle goes away.
there are too many possibilities at the start up ending up with wear and tear of engine and gearbox components.
I would first eliminate the cheaper culprit:
engine oil: how old is it, is it the right grade and how about the filter (and the built in bypass valve)
hopefully you may get a better response from a member with a similar bike:)

Cheers for the reply, I did indeed means the rattle goes after it warms up.

The oil is only a couple of hundred miles old, I can't recall the grade but would have been as per the manual/spec, filter is K&N (also new).

The noise seems to be coming from the right side of the bike (as you're sat on it), not necessarily from the cam chain area but hard to tell.

A few people have suggested it was the cam chain, so I have put a manual CCT to fit to see if this helps, not 100% convinced that thats the issue though.
