Engine serial number

    Hello everyone
    Just picked up 2016 engine with 11k mileage for my bike, it’s a bit rusty especially few bolts, just want to make sure whether it’s actually 2016 model
    Serial number
    SC59E-
    258186
    Last number is off

    I "think" the E after SC59 tells you it's a 2014 manufactured bike. Mine is SC59F and is a 2015 bike.

    2010 bike was SC59A and it went up from there until the model changed in 2017.

    I received logbook proof with engine number, bike model and year, it’s actually 2016, bike model is CBR1000 RA-F, but engine number remains SC59E, I think year of manufacturing depends on last seven digits that follows after
    My old engine is 2011 and I think it also has number SC59E

    Yea sorry mate, I misread your post, didn't realise you were specifically talking about the engine and not the bike. Guess you've answered your own question :)
