The cable runs to a wheel that operates the butterfly valve [under the riders seat] just remove cable and turn back the small wheel to its original postion, that way you wont get a F1 error on the dash. its a simple job mate.

I think on the 07 the flap is on the headers so replacing the silencer for a slip on should just be a straight swap and leave the cable where it is

Yep the box gets removed, but under the riders seat you will see a small wheel that turns 90% when the butterfly valve is open, just make sure you take a note of its original position, remove stock exhaust, disconect the cable from the end piece, replace with aftermarket, then turn the wheel back to its original position, the small wheels stays on the bike mate [under the riders seat]

no mate the cable goes into the bike and attaches to a servo . Disconnect from there and remove the cable with the standard can

When i did my 04 blade I just left the cables attached, just cable tied them up in a position they were free to move. No Fi error and saves the hassel of removing them.

Where abouts are you mate, i'd be more than happy to help putting an exhaust on.
I fitted a full system and a PCV to mine a few weeks ago, it's quite simple!

You'll have to take the indicators mounts off [plastic shields] it would be far easier if you removed the whole seat unit mate, its a dead easy job, you can then trace the butterfly cable back to the servo then.

By the way take the aluminium heat shield off also, they look much better without it
