Forecast for cadders looks good tomorow but its saying nearly 60km/h winds lol What do you have to watch out for? Obviously the wind but does it affect braking/cornering badly? CHeeeyasss!
I reckon that airborne over the mountain with a 60km/h crosswind could be epic. I can sense a new competition coming on, not who can travel the furthest forward, but who can land furthest on the opposite side of the track. On a serious note though, the wind can affect cornering and if you are hard on the power with a crosswind, it can push the front away.
Rockingham and cadwell really windy cadwell wasnt to bad but rockingham the wind blew someone off line into the wall on the main straight !!!!! It was bad sort of picked your bike up out the corner . It willl take a seesion mate to get into what ever the weather is i reckon. Ididnt notice it affected braking more on the straights when you were upright . Coming down to Mansfiel was a bit dodgy if i remember right but could be less wind or more or blowing in a different direction. I have enough ballast in my leathers ha ha
Depending on wind direction on the dy if its blowing across Park just be wary of hugging the white line on left as will blow you over grass and when coming down into Mansfield plenty of area for cross winds. Doubt they will cancel it unless its dangerous.
Getting excited now!! Sorting the bike out today after I've watched WSBK and MotoGP. Nervous for fast group though..
Just put the wheels on mine but starters buggered will start intermittent so plenty of bump starts tomorrow how embarrassing. You will be fine mate relax enjoy nothing to prove.
Na they won't cancel I went round in snow and hail at Mallory in march ha ha . Plenty of people to give you a push buddy . Just was really hoping my back was a ok this morning but still giving me a bit of grief ill pain killer up and hope its ok tommrrow
Honestly don't enjoy it mate I like to push on and don't enjoy the wet tried it felt like I was waiting to crash. Amazes me watching people go out in the rain at Cadwell only to see them come back in the van of doom with a mashed bike.
Should be fine with the starts my old mans just come home from two weeks offshore so he's gonna come and make a nuisance of himself he doesn't ride though but good for towing my trailer.
I gots wets, they came with the bike. The dry wheels just have normal road tyres (Pirelli Dragons, must do something about that). It's the first time i've ridden the track bike, my first proper track day and straight in to Inters. No pressure
You need to buy a motogp starter thinging mate!! I used my dad for the same thing last time too. And the only reason why I have had a go in the wet is when I start racing I won't be able to just stay in if it rains
I did my first TD on the blade on roadsmarts muff, they had plenty of grip for novices and tbh I could have faired fine in inters. You'll enjoy it mate its adrenaline on tap, nowt like it. Your heart will be pounding when you get in that assembly area but as soon as you've done them two sighting laps and the pit straight is infront of you you'll be grinning ear to ear. My mouth was hurting from smiling first time I went lol
I wouldn't worry about that muff as I have run all my track days this year on my road tyres ( Pirelli Rosso 2) and have no trouble in keeping up I might move up to corsa or even supercorsa next year, as I get faster? Enjoy your day mate, you will love it
Tbh now I wouldn't wanna use anything less than a supercorsa/racetech now, I'm not mega quick but wouldn't have confidence in a sport touring tyre on track now.
