    Learn from my mistake. I recently purchased a slip-on exhaust from Black widow exhaust systems, In my opinion, a very reputable company and a great exhaust for a great price. But as it turns out, the 2014 (ABS) model has the previous models exhaust system (2008-2013) for some crazy reason unbeknown to me. I used the web site Fowlers Parts as a reference to order the correct exhaust for my model (2014). Not only does the O2 sensor attach directly to the CAT which is part of the stock exhaust which is not the case on the '14 but the mid pipe is way to big to fit the header pipe. Long story short i had a telephone conversation with Black widow and they are sending a replacment mid pipe that fits.So if you own a 2014 Blade ABS model and wish to purchase an after market exhaust keep this in mind.

    Your welcome

    Interesting. Is it possible that you maybe have a 2013 model on a 14 plate? A quick look at your V5C would confirm. Look in Section 4 (vehicle details), the 14 model will be shown as “CBR 1000 RA-E” whereas the 13 model will be “CBR 1000 RA-D”

    Or just look at the 10th letter of the VIN

    D =2013

    E = 2014

    The other easy way to tell is to look at the ignition key, 14 onward models have new shorter and thicker design.
    Also front fork tops changed colour to grey, from the 12/13 model blue.
