i have just bought a 2009 track bike and want to get a daytime MOT. The seller believes that the exhaust fitted (see pic) is unlikely to pass an MOT. I just want something cheap that i can use when on the road and will revert to the one in pic for track days. Any recommendations or anything being sold on here that i could look at please? i saw a number of slip ons for sale on Facebook Marketplace for circa £50 which would be a great price if i knew they would fit. Newbie to the CBR so any advice (that a 3 year old could understand) would be appreciated. PS i did do a search on the forum first but didn't see anything that answered my question - thanks. Mike
I'd have a word with your MOT guy first see what he says. A lot of the time you end up with an advisory for the noise but nothing more. A lot of people online say if its marked "not for road use" it will fail aswell.
Hi, it might be worthing knowing what that exhaust is blowing first because if its over 102 DB you will have to get a quieter exhaust for most tracks anyway. Unless you plan to do Noisy Donnington days all year I went down the route of having a loud arrow exhaust but then got a Pipe werx link pipe and end Can for quiet days and I can get on all tracks without a baffle. I called them up and they were so helpful, and great value for money. Hope this helps Ricky
I have a racefit which is loud, it now has a baffle fitted but has been given an mot in the past, Tester said to me " it came in with a standard exhaust "
