I’m taking my blade to Silverstone in June and am thinking about the noise test I bought my bike from a dealer with an aftermarket can on it, it’s a no name carbon fibre job. I got them to throw in an original can just in case Has anyone taken their blade to Silverstone, if so: - What bike/exhaust do you have and did you pass the noise test - Am I right in thinking they don’t follow the normal noise test used at other places (i.e. rpm for test) If its not looking likely that I’ll pass the test then I’ll need to put the original exhaust back on. Assuming the bike hasn’t been remapped, how difficult is this to do and what might I need to do to stick the exhaust on for the day (will swap back afterwards). Have no idea if I have all the right bits etc, I just had the Honda exhaust with a cable coming out of it
As far as I'm aware the limit at Silverstone is 102DB at least it was when I was there in July last year. I had my Daytona then with a Leo Vince Slip on and no baffle it didn't bother them to be honest. Interestingly that was with No Limits and they weren't noise testing as a mandatory requirement they had ride by sensors out on track and if you were tugged by them you got noise tested in the pits and if it failed then it was a problem. Who is the TDO?
Its organised by Silverstone themselves so not sure how strict they will be My Street Triple R was usually fine with Arrow slip ons and no baffle in. Put them in for one track day only, think it was an evening session at Brands This will be my first trackday on the blade
it's 105db when I go on the 27th May with no limits. took my baffle out my exhaust for this one. it's a yoshi R77. but will take it with me just in case
