right came across some sound clips and the following sound nice

    Yoshimura R-77 (carbon)
    Akrapovic (carbon)
    devil master
    Shark trophy 1000

few mates have said stay away fro mthe devil and stick with the yosh or akra but they are very common.

What Im after more than anything is a deep rumbling sound lol
Guess after hearing my mates r1 with twin akrapovics I thought its about time to upgrade from the standard.

I can make what you want for considerably less money. Just need some dimensions off your standard set up and some patience. If you're not in a mad hurry , I can help you out. PM your number for a chat tomorrow???

That would be dead handy mate. Can you post a few pics of it for me? Basically I need inlet bore and outlet stub diameters and the angle that the outlet comes out at.

I use parcel monkey on the net, just as a guide upto 10KG will cost about £7.80 incl VAT. (£6.50+vat)

They use various couriers, normally City Link. I've used them a number of times, for eBay stuff, you simply say where it's being collected from, where it's going too, and then print off the label, stick on your parcel, job done.

The courier co. collect, you can track it. Job done. Ideal for heavy bits as long as the box isn't too big!

Anyway cheaper than PO. On heavy bits, dint use the uber cheap offer as they won't re-delivery FOC if you miss the doorbell, small print.

    http://www.parcelmonkey.co.uk.

    Parcel 50x50x50 @10kg = £7.80!
    bargain.

For something a bit different try MIVV

Slip Ons - Exhausts HONDA - CBR 1000 RR - SPORT - Silencers - MIVV

Full System - Exhausts HONDA - CBR 1000 RR - POWER - Full Systems - MIVV

Quite tasty and rare as rocking horse sh** !! :)

Or you could go with one of three Japanese exhausts

    Arata : http://www.fasterbydesign.co.uk/bike_brokerage.asp?data=Exhausts_Arata Exhausts_198

    Moriwaki : http://www.moriwaki.co.jp/global/product/ex.php?maker=HONDA&model=CBR1000RR

    Nojima : http://www.nojimausa.com/fullex09cbr1000rr.htm

Apparently the Nojima makes mad HP (13hp at some points in the range) doesn't look to great though but then who really cares about looks when it makes that much powerrrrrrr apparently lol

have read various post that once you have a can fitted then remapping has to be done.

any one shed any light on this? what cost are involved?

    cheers

All cans have their pros and cons. You need to do some research and weigh them up against your priorities.
In simple terms, remapping means changing the amount of fuel injected at the various parts of the rev range.
Any change if the intake and exhaust systems on a bike _may_ result in a need to do this, but small changes (like a can) don't necessarily need any fuelling adjustments.
In order to adjust your fuel map, you need a fuel controller. There are many on the market, most popular are DynoJet Power Commander and Bazzaz Z-Fi. They cost around £300.
You can either download a map from the internet to suit your bike and it's modifications...
Or you can buy another module from DynoJet or Bazzaz which automatically adjusts the map. Maybe another £200...
Or you can go to a dyno centre and get a custome tune. Around £200ish.

IMO Akrapovic/Arata/Nojima are all sound choices performance wise

I did look up the Devil for your bike, bit pricey but looks nice !

    HONDA - 1000 CBR RR - 2008-> - Devil exhaust

Can't say I've ever seen one on a FireBlade

I'm really interested in their tuning model, the Rapid Bike EVO/RACING, apparently a Honda MotoGP team uses it, so it can't be that pants !

    Racing : http://web.dimsport.com/rapidbike/rapidbike.php#tab3

    Evo : http://web.dimsport.com/rapidbike/rapidbike.php#tab2

Both look like interesting alternatives to the DynoJet/Bazazz kit and I've never heard of them before !

Yeah I think Devil only do full for the Honda, but I'd try and snap up that Arata on motoforum that I linked to, at 375 for a full titanium system, its a bit of a no brainer bro.

not into the Arata for soem reason, even though it is cheap. trying to find more on the devil but not having much luck. the one on the motorrad video looks alot bigger ( fatter) than the one on devils own website....or its just the camera angle.

Yeah they don't look the shizzle, I'll give you that, but they make good power ! But if you don't like it, you don't like it lol !

I'm running Akra on mine and I like, but I understand everyone has different tastes !
