I've put all the standard fairings, exhaust etc back on my 2015 model, trackdays were becoming a little too epensive for me given the present financial chaos.

I want to run it with the exhaust flap standard, ie it opens as the revs increase. I reved the bike to 5000 rpm whilst on its stand and in neutral but the flap remained closed.

Does it only open if it's in gear and rpm above 4000 rpm or should it open even when in neuatral and above 4000rpm?

I could disconnect the cable and have the flap permanently open but I like the quiet exhaust.

Afaik it only opens when in gear. I had mine on a stand and I couldn’t see it open when revving the bike.

You need to be doing around 50mph before it opens when in standard settings.

normally it is a way of getting through noise tests so may not open unless in gear
