Exhaust note

Exhaust note gives any sane man the horn, and is a crucial factor in choosing and exhaust, other than cost, power, visual aesthetics etc

I am considering a new pipe and was wondering...is there a website somewhere, where I can enter the details of a make and model of a bike, and then see the available aftermarket exhausts available, see them and listen to them too?

 

You tube is probably you're best bet for sound clips.

As far as exhausts just look under the usual suspects to see what you like Akra, Racefit, Austin Racing, Yoshi, Leo Vince, SC Projects, Scorpion, Taylor Made, Arrow.

For a slightly cheaper option there is companies like Delkevic, Beowulf, Fuel, Remus, Pipe Werx etc

 

Go to a bike meet and listen to some mate, will depend on you're speakers and what it recorded on

 

yeah thanks for your replies, was more thinking along the lines of an ideal world, or a missed opportunity for suppliers.

If I was Mr. Akropovic I would have an audio file alongside the listing of pipes I was flogging, better still, if I was Mr. I Sell All Makes O'Pipes I would have all available bikes listed, and all the available exhausts for each that i sell priced up and an audio file for each. How popular would this be? Must be a reason it's not been done, or maybe it's just me...

 

Yeah but it's not gonna sound any thing like it would on the bike, so people would surely complain
