right gents I know it's probably been asked a million times but after 30 minutes looking through various threads I still need help haha

Basically I am after a yoshi rs-5 end can for my 2005 rr5 fireblade and have come across one off a 2006 rr6

I know they changed quite a lot from rr5 to rr6 including the exhaust but will it it fit?

    Many thanks

Think the link pipe is different, But greater minds on here will prove me wrong.

Whilst the 2004-05 is slightly different in design to the 2006-07, Yoshimura list the same fitment from 2004-07. This is because it is a "universal" shaped muffler.
    See here: http://www.yoshimura-rd.com/images/120027(2,5,7).pdf

Be aware that if you start looking at different brands though, many separate the two models due to redesign, One example is Akrapovic...

    2004-05: https://d1sfhav1wboke3.cloudfront.n...s/102747/c2e0ee1fecab426e9c530640ef867658.pdf

    2006-07: https://d1sfhav1wboke3.cloudfront.n...s/105961/dad89dc67ca84a9f9b695cad6d054651.pdf

Note that they both use the same lower link pipe, but the later design muffler will not fit the earlier model without cutting away some part of the original trim/bracket. However, I'd be willing to bet the earlier version would fit the later bike.

    Cheers

    Steve
