thinking of buying an external powerpack , really to just charge me iphone 6 up when I get caught out not near a mains outlet or the car or bike.
Wanting to know a bit more, ie they come in different sizes in ma hours, but what does it mean in laymans terms ie would a 2600ma unit be enough to charge an iPhone ? Or several times. Any of the Sparks enlighten me @sinewave

Find out how big your battery is, I would guess about 3,000mAh. If it is 3,000mAh then a 6,000mAh pack could charge it fully twice, a 12,000mAh four times etc. That is if the pack is fully charged and in good condition.

OK a quick google shows the batteries for the judas 6 are: 6: 1810 mAh; 6 Plus: 2915 mAh. So the 2600mAh would charge the 6 once and a bit, but not fully charge the 6s.

Ah right so I could get away with a 2600mah unit to fully charge the thing once and a bit , ideally a 5000mah would be a lot better .but depends on price and the physical size of the thing. Ie how big a thing do you wanna carry around with yer.

    Cheers

I run an 20,000 power bank which I call 'the brick' - its an invaluable item as your phone running flat is so easy these days.

Its got 2 outlets so can give the gift of life to a couple of devices at a time

plenty on ebay - I would not trust the output to exactly match the full number of charges BTW (in my experience)

I bought one at the NEC, charges anything up and can start a 1900cc diesel car. Cost £110 though. Now £85 on eBay.
