So I went to see my daughter on Friday. She is in Kent, I'm in Bristol, bike is in Bridgend. Leave Bridgend on Friday morning, get to Kent 3 hours later, completely soaked through, stopped at Chievely svs on route and spent 30 mins in front of the hand dryers trying to dry off, which was a complete waste of time. Trying to put wet gloves back on never seems to work!! Leave kent today at 2ish for the return leg, first hour all ok. Then spend the next two and a half hours getting completely and utterly drenched, freezing my knackers off. Was not fun. Would have been dryer if I'd sat in the bath fully clothed for an hour. Let's hope we get a decent summer!
Aye but worth it seeing your daughter.long story don't see mine not like I want to but had a t--t of a wife ,mediation was a joke
Simple fix for this OP. Gortex Textiles and Gortex Gloves. Ride all day in the rain and stay bone dry.
So the 1st hour through Kent was good then it all went tits up when you crossed the Border and left the Costa del Kent.....palm tress are looking in fine shape today
Got good quality halvarssons textiles, but defo need some top end gloves. The Dainese ones I have just seem to absorb water now. Decided to wear the non waterproof boots which didn't really help matters Kentblade, the rain seem to magically appear at junction 15 on the M25!
