Hi All, stripped off my original fairings about 2 months ago to replace them with some Chinese ones and only just got round to fitting the new set now. Got distracted with some personal issues.

anyway.... keen to understand what goes in this vacuum chamber that is attached the fairing. Does anything go in the top?? (round hole)

Got a Haynes Manual but the section on fairing panels doesnt help!

They are resonators. They sit directly below the air intakes, should be a rubber bung to join them I think.

A lot of them get removed and the air intake holes just capped off.

If you want to go a step further you can remove the flappers in the intakes aswell.

thanks for this. As my bike spends 90% of its life on track is it best just to cap the top off? I’ll leave them on just in case future owner may want to reinstall them.

Yes, just cap off the hole in the air intakes. Rubber cap or tape etc.
