Had a small hole in on of my fairings since I bought it, (think previous owner dropped it) other day took fairing off, looks like it's been repaired with chewing gum and a sticker put over it, (tosser) anyway I want to repair it properly it's literally 10mm long x 5mm wide and my thought was fibreglass on the reverse to repair the hole, flexible filler on good side, rub down, prime, new decal over the top.

Question is will the fibreglass melt/attack the fairing, I know it gets warm when you add the resin to the matting and it's pretty nasty chemical stuff (a technical term) but don't want to turn a small annoyance into a huge problem.

    Cheers

    Steve

I would only use fibreglass on fibreglass I would use super glue and a soldering iron, I would recommend speaking to Kev b as he knows more than I do about it as he gave advice to someone looking to do a similar repair
