..with the Blade, that is I was actually starting to worry that perhaps I'd made a mistake selling the R6 and buying the Blade. I just didn't feel like I was hooked into it in the way I was with the Yam. I put it down to lack of experience on it and am happy to confirm that I was right. I've been out and about on it the last couple of days and both times have come back wearing an enormous grin. It no longer feels intimidating and the increased shove is now very much welcome. Love it!!
You should never have had any doubt glad the weather has been nice for you as its been shocking over here
Yesterday was ok but this morning was peeing it down with strong winds. forecast rain all day tomorrow
Poo Hard to believe that such a short geographic distance could make such a difference in the weather.
Glad your getting used to it BoroRich. Have done about 2k on mine now and would say I am now getting used to it. It is taking longer than usual as I have been constantly making changes to it. My only little gripe left is the riding position, hopefully the adjustable rearsets I am having fitted on Thursday will solve that and I will be able to get a slightly more comfortable peg position, back a little so I am more forward over the front.
I can understand where your coming from Rich, I don't know whether it's the 600ish size of the thing coupled with the performance difference or the fact that ridden slow it's as tractable as a Bandit in town that catches you unawares. I know if I use it for my commute for a week or so, and get into that particular groove, the next time I play properly with it I do get a twinge of " where thef uck did that come from!"
Nice to read that! I've done the same mate, moved from R6 to a blade. I was the other way round though, i never liked the R6 and instantly liked the blade, but if you liked the R6 i can see you finding big differences from the off! They're totally different. The blade is so much better though!!!
