Have any of you guys use a fenda extenda to protect your rad and reduce the road mess on the exhaust pipes etc? Are they any good and do they spoil the look.

Got one on my Hornet. Not sure how much difference it makes, but you can't even notice it's there unless you're looking for it.

got one on my repsol rep , not noticeable, as the front mudguard is very dark blue.
had one on my last bike too ,i mainly put it on to protect my radiator ,as i use some very poor b and even unclassified roads around the yorks dales in summer.

I had one on a triumph and it did a great job, what spray got past the fenda extenda was caught by the bellypan. Downpipes were spotless, I think it is less noticeable if your mudguard is black.

Maybe a dumb question, but whats a fender extender? Is it an extension to the front hugger as my last 2 bikes have had one, so i thought they were standard.

My only concern is the need to use self tappers to secure it?

It is just an extension to the front mud guard to help stop stones hitting the rad etc

They're not noticeable because tyres are black - it doesn;t really matter what colour your mudguard is (eg, my Hornet is white).
Mine secured with double sided tape only.
