I know how you guys like pics so, i'll start off with that (a bit of a crappy one!):

    photo.jpg

    1. Fuel gauge

Reading on here it seem that once you get the fuel light on and the dash starts counting, you have until about 0.6 until your out. However on Sat it came on for the first time and I got it up to 1.2 (not by choice, just no stations near by!) and was still going strong? Also the manual states that once the display gets up to 1.0 it starts to flash quicker (which it did) so it seems that it can go to 1.0 no problem, so not sure why on here people are saying 0.6? Does any one know for sure, what you can go up to before running out?

    2. Quickshifter

Whats the best quick shifter out there then? I fancy a few full throttle shifts now I have converted it to race shift using the Gilles gear leaver.

    3. When's the sun out next?

The blade was totally awesome on Saturday in the sunshine, had a blast over to Settle and Hawes, awesome times, awesome bike! :)

    Cheers :)

I think the fuel gauge situation changed with the new dash fitted to 2012+ models.
The 0.6 number was from the 08-11 models afaik!

Best to go with the info printed in your user guide book.

Yes i also believe the fuel count changed on the new 12+ models and as wedgie says you cant go far wrong with the hm+ shifter.

Hopefully the sun returns soon and we can all get out for a ride together

I think the HM quickshifter is the one to go for and Arthur (arthurbikemad) on here does the full kit at a great price!

Cheers guys, will check out the HM shifter.

Do we know how many litres are in reserve? (Can't find it in the handbook) Maybe it counts up to that amount?

Great! Cheers Ian! 3.5 litres should be about 20 miles?

Hope you had a good un on Sat, plenty of blades out! Good bacon butty at that cafe!

Dunno why they can't just programme the display to show a visual gauge like 'what t'car does'?

I've got a comprehensive Lap Timer function which 99% or owners will never use, but a visual garphic fuel guage?

    ............oh no.............

Yes top run - carried on from there up to Hartside via Middleton in Teesdale etc. First decent run on the bike since I got it early March.

Yes I reckon 20 miles+, my old Blade easily used to do that on reserve (never ran out).

    Cheers,

    Ian.

to 0.0, is this litres or gallons and what does it run out at??

If I get bored one day I might just wap a 5 litre can of unleaded in the Kreiga and ride the Bitch till she's dry (reminds me of my College days! ;) ) and see what she does on reserve!
