Hello New member here ,always wanted a 1000rr 06/07 model and have finally got one. having took so long I'm slightly worried as my back aches and wrists hurt maybe 50 is to old . Mind you I think it's worth having as an ornament anyway, and riding it certainly puts a big smile on my face.
Welcome....I'm just this side of 50 the hair might be grey under the lid but the desire is still there. I tend to ride the blade now when my back feels ok.
Welcome to the forum. Loving my 07 blade and I'm sure you'll love yours to. Just love having her parked in my garage
Hi & welcome. I am another born in the swinging Sixties. I also had a few body aches getting used to riding a sports bike after many years on adventure type bikes. But over time riding the blade, the aches became less and my smiles became bigger.
Welcome mate you enjoy had several blades current one the HRC 2014 and still makes me smile and I won't see 60 again so you have plenty of years to enjoy.
Strange,, I thought I was over sports bikes,,55, but on a whim in January I bought an 09 blade,,laugh, my mates did,,i have just returned from a 2400 mile euro trip to Red bull ring Austria,, a good test eh ? , I bloody love it,,it made me smile from the first ride.Great bikes and comfy as hell,,umm heaven I mean. Oh hi, welcome ,enjoy
Welcome good for you getting a Blade, I'm older than you and have done 12000 miles on mine in just over 3 years, including 4 European trips, one was 2500 miles in 6 days, OK a few aches but nothing to put me off doing other trips the following years. Superbly comfortable, just keep on taking cod liver oil tablets
Hi I'm 46 soon to be 47...I love my 07 blade in silver, I've had 3 now and I never get tired of riding and looking at her. Recently conquered a 1200 mile trip around the north of England. I've had previous surgery to my right wrist following accident in 2002 but even with a few aches I just can't leave the blades alone lol. I hope I'll be still riding blades in my 60's like some of the other members. Try tucking your knees into the tank it takes some of the stress off your wrists...works for me anyway. Enjoy your blade matie and welcome.
